It was built for local bird watching communities to share sightings, but it’s useful for all kind of communities-of-observation.

Examples:

  • Birding
  • Where’s George currency circulation tracking
  • Seasonal blooms
  • Weather
  • Subaru Bajas
  • Many more!

A birdd node, and its members is called a flock. Your flock can install extensions to add extra trackable information to your observations for whatever thing you enjoy observing.

Hopefully you find it useful and fun! birdd is open source! Please fork. Patches are welcome. birdd is a labor of love.
